Ahh...babies are such a beautiful way to start a life. I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing this beautiful little lady at just five weeks new. Little miss M was absolutely dreamy and had the most gorgeous eyes I've seen. She was so angelic all wrapped up in her swaddle and all the while had the most perfect little grin on her face. I ate it up! Congratulations on your wonderful new addition Merritt family, she is just as precious as they come. Thank you for inviting me in to capture such a beautiful time in your lives. Enjoy! xo

I never grew up going to the beach. Growing up in Montana, my idea of a vacation was going east or west on I-90. :) When I married my Oregon hubby he introduced me to annual spring break trips to the Oregon Coast. Needless to say, it was love a first sight. How awesome is it that you can just jump in your car, drive a couple hours and hear the ocean?! {LOVE}. On our drive over I was thinking about all of our coast trips and came to the conclusion that in little Loke's life, he hasn't missed a spring break trip to the Oregon coast yet!! Lucky duck. Our trips always include an awesome beach house that is shared with family (even the fur babies) a close walk to the beach, WAY too much junk food and March Madness. It is quiet honestly my favorite little get-a-way of the year. Here is a little peak into our beach vacation. Enjoy! xo
and Loke's off...
Papa teaching Loke the ways of sand castle making. Too bad he would get it just perfect and Loke would smash it immediately with his stick. The life of a boy...
I have been blessed with the best in-laws EVER!
Britt and I tested out the water and judging by Britt's face it was a little chilly.
The next day we headed out to Newport Beach. We stopped to eat at our FAVORITE little clam chowder spot to snag some yummy lunch (which consisted of James being adventurous and trying oysters). Needless to say lunch was fantastic and James absolutely hated the oysters! Hilarious.
Our best attempt at a family picture...thanks Nana :)
Thanks for a wonderful, relaxing, family filled weekend Oregon Coast. Until next time...

Have you ever heard of Noonday Collection? They are an amazing
company with a vision to change the world. I recently had the opportunity to
collaborate with Central Oregon ambassador Carrie Hicks to create a rocking
senior stylized session to showcase the beautiful jewelry. Needless to say,
this was one of my favorite shoots yet! The beautiful models, the colorful
jewelry and the northwest scenery made my heart swoon. {LOVE} Thank you Audrey
and Courtney for being the perfect models for the vision and to Carrie for inviting
me to capture a glimpse of this amazing company. Enjoy!
Noonday Collection sells distinctive jewelry and accessories
handmade by vulnerable groups of people around the world. Through dignified job
creation, these men and women are able to earn a living wage, breaking the
cycle of poverty and providing hope for the future for their families.
Your fashion sense can now restore dignity to abandoned women in
Ethiopia, empower communities in Ecuador, and create business opportunities for
Ugandans.
When you shop, share and advocate, you join our story of
transformation one purchase at a time. When you host a Noonday Trunk Show,
opening your home to your friends and introducing them to this world changing,
fair trade movement, you help create that pathway out of poverty for our
artisans and you become part of the solution to empower the poor and oppressed.
And...you can earn free jewelry!
Noonday also has a passion for orphans and creates jobs in
high-risk orphan areas, hoping to keep families together. We believe every
child belongs in a family. If you or someone you know is in the process of
adopting, we want to help you raise funds to bring your child home.
If you have questions or you're interested in hosting a trunk
show, please visit my website.
When you satisfy the needs of the oppressed,
your night will become like the noonday. Isaiah 58:10
Thank you,
Carrie Hicks
